Deborah Herbertson, member of Sasqua Garden Club, is the Design by Terrain Supervisor at their Westport, Connecticut store, where she creates terrain’s custom planted pieces. teaches classes, and provides design work in customer’s homes.   

She was raised in a home where any open vessel was always filled with something from the garden.  Upon graduation from college she headed into the corporate world. Several decades later, she realized that what she was passionate about was also what she should be doing for a living. Deborah’s  love of nature and design translated into many exciting years working in the event industry in New York City, creating large floral installations for events and product launches, and working as a photo stylist, specializing in floral and plant design. 

Deborah feels “Mother Nature” is the greatest designer of all time and that is where she gets her inspiration – a simple walk in the woods is a master class in design.
