A toast and huge THANK YOU to everyone who participated in our in-club show,

“THE ART OF MIXOLOGY, Cocktails and Curated Concoctions”……Megan and Sean Kelly who wrote the schedule, Beth, our President who designed and printed the invitation, posters & cocktail napkins, the exhibitors  who entered our three classes, our judges from Fairfield Garden Club and Greenfingers,  our Passers and Clerks: Nancy Edmiston , Berkeley Soper, Ellen Levinson, Jennifer Downing, Sarah Essig and Kim Heyn, our fabulous Provisionals who did the set-up and takedown of the show, Beth Rhame & Chris and Jennifer Downing who provided trucks and muscles! Linda Tors, my right hand, Marie for the delicious food and Evelyn for the gorgeous flowers on the breakfast table. I know I have forgotten some, so thank you to ALL who helped make it a big success. A flower show is a total TEAM effort and it wouldn’t have come off so effortlessly without a team.

Everyone had a great time enjoying “Mocktails” from our Mixologist who made a drink called a “ Pommatini”, complete with floral garnish.

CONGRATULATIONS to everyone who entered the show. ALL of the arrangements were spectacular and we have received very favorable compliments from our judges who really enjoyed the show.

CLASS 1 – “Mix Up A Batch” ( underwater arrangement ):

First Place – Marlowe Mitchell, who also received the NOVICE AWARD.

Second Place – Linda Tors

Third Place – Bevo Tarika 

CLASS 2 – “Shaken, Not Stirred” – in an oversize Martini glass

First Place – Barbara Bradley

Second Place – Kristyn Golier

Third Place – Carrie Wilcox

CLASS 3 – “Cocktails for Two, Around the World” – a functional table

First Place – Siri Burki, who also received BEST IN SHOW

Second Place – Mandy Stanton

Third Place – Christina Benisch
